A new 30,000 square foot early childhood facility is proposed for the district owned property adjacent to Madison Elementary. This facility is to accommodate 3 and 4-year-olds for both preschool and wrap-around care. Ten classrooms, each accommodating 16-20 students, and one gross motor room are planned for a total building capacity of 160-200 students. A kitchen with food preparation will be needed to accommodate the all-day programming. This facility will have a dedicated secure entry, age-appropriate playground and multi-purpose spaces, and appropriate parking and drop-off/pick-up lanes. This new facility will allow the current preschool classrooms at Lincoln and Madison Elementary to be used for growth in the K-3 grades levels.
